Madeira is absolutely gorgeous, a floating paradise.

We were lucky to be there when the Madeira Carnival was on. Lots of fun on the streets. 

The friendliest crowds. Good food and drink. We didn't see any trouble - nor did we hear about any.

In other words, the people knew how to have tons of good, clean fun without spoiling it for anyone.

People dressed in all the colours imaginable.

Sweet music accompanied the wonderful carnival "floats."  We had a fantastic street party to enjoy - and to remember forever.

And that was just the beginning. It inspired this writer and poet to pen pages and pages of pure magic that was then published at a handsome profit! In other words, the holiday paid for itself (like in FREE).
